During the school year, we offer evidence-based social skills programming for children and adolescents who would benefit from additional social skills instruction, regardless of diagnosis. Through our S.T.E.P. Program (Social Skills Through Evidence-Based Programming) groups use an applied behavior analysis approach to teach social skills, and we emphasize the importance of practice in and outside of sessions.
New families who are interested in groups will receive a free consultation with a member of her team to answer your questions and determine whether we have the resources to meet your child’s needs.

- Social skills groups are open to children and adolescents between 4 and 21 years of age.
- No formal diagnosis is required to participate.
- While members are not required to attend all sessions, we find that consistent attendance results in the most progress.
- Due to the fact that our groups use group instruction, group members are required to have conversational language, toilet independently, and not engage in aggressive or self-injurious behaviors. If we do not have the resources to meet your child’s needs in social skills groups, we will provide referrals to other services.

We hold two 14-week sessions during each school year. Sessions typically begin in September and January.
