Jaime White, BCBA
Jaime's journey began in kindergarten through a friendship she developed with a peer with autism. She was responsible for walking him to his resource class where she received a sucker from his teacher. He was her first lesson in positive reinforcement and the importance of social acceptance. In middle and high school, she served as a communication assistant and respite provider for a classmate with autism and bipolar disorder. In college, she worked for a non-profit organization that provided staffing and resources for adults with disabilities to live in their own homes in the community while having typical life experiences. She began working as a line therapist in private home-based ABA programs in 2003 before obtaining her BCaBA certificate in 2010.
Jaime's Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Georgia shaped her theatrical approach to language and learning. She has more than 25 years experience working with individuals with autism and 18 years in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis where she has provided clinical direction, supervision, program development, and instructional training. In August 2021, she completed her Master of Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Pennsylvania State University. In November 2021, she passed her exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Jaime keeps a ridiculous amount of random information, song lyrics, and trivia in her head at all times. She enjoys learning about other cultures through language and cooking and looks forward to traveling again in the future.
