Sarah Nell joined The Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment's applied behavior analysis clinical team in June of 2018. An Aiken, South Carolina native, Sarah Nell moved to Columbia in 2008 to pursue her bachelor’s degree in psychology and German at the University of South Carolina. During her first year at UofSC, she obtained her first job as a line therapist. Since then, she has gained experience working with children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities in applied and research settings.
She graduated from the University of South Carolina College of Education in 2016 with a Master of Arts in Teaching for Special Education, with a focus on severe and profound disabilities. Sarah Nell became credentialed as a board certified behavior analyst in 2017. She strives to teach individuals with autism the skills they need to advocate for themselves to influence the course of their own lives.
