Honoring Lorri’s Heart

A Birthday Campaign for Purpose and Impact

Lorri’s journey as an advocate began as a mother. Her personal experiences inspired her to pursue systemic change, including leading the charge for autism insurance reform in South Carolina and across the country. Her work opened doors for families who had long been denied access to the care and services their children needed.

But she didn’t stop there.

In 2010, Lorri founded what is now The Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment. What began as a bold vision has grown into a thriving center of excellence that provides life-changing services to children, teens, and adults with autism in the Midlands. From diagnostic assessments and ABA therapy to social groups, job training, and adult residential care, the Center reflects Lorri’s belief that individuals with autism deserve support across every stage of life.

This campaign is more than a birthday celebration. It is a chance to say thank you. It is an opportunity to reflect on the lives that have been changed because one woman refused to accept “no” as the final answer. And it is a way for all of us to help continue that work together.

Every dollar raised through Honoring Lorri’s Heart will go directly toward expanding and strengthening the programs that make our mission possible. With your help, we can reach more families, build more pathways, and offer more hope.
