November 25, 2025

As I approach my first anniversary as Executive Director of The Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment, I have spent time reflecting on how far we have come in just one year. When I stepped into this role in December 2025, Unumb Place had not yet opened its doors. There was a tremendous amount of work ahead of us, but with the steadfast leadership of our founder, Lorri Unumb, and the partnership of our dedicated team, we moved forward with purpose and determination.
Today, that vision has become a reality. Unumb Place officially opened in April, and we now have two homes filled with residents who are supported, welcomed, and thriving, with a third home on the horizon. This milestone represents much more than buildings. It represents opportunity, dignity, and meaningful life experiences for adults with autism in our community.
Our Columbia clinic has continued to grow as well. With more than 30 exceptional staff members serving 17 clients and their families each day, we are providing high-quality, compassionate care that helps individuals learn new skills, build confidence, and experience moments of success that bring joy to their families.
None of this would be possible without our village. We are deeply grateful for the support and guidance of Lorri and Dan Unumb, our board of directors, and our incredible community of supporters. You uplift our families. You fuel our mission. And you make it possible for us to provide meaningful, life-changing services across both our clinic and our residential programs.
Each day when I walk through our doors, I witness the direct impact of your generosity. I see children making progress, adults learning new skills that enrich their daily lives, and families finding hope and stability. Your belief in our work is what makes these moments possible.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Thank you for standing with our families. And thank you for helping us build a community where individuals with autism have every opportunity to experience growth, joy, and meaningful connection.
Thank you,

Jessica Hudson, Executive Director
